10.09.2019

Dewar's Scotch whisky was recently recognized with four gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2019 (SFWSC), and two additional gold medals at the International Wine & Spirits Challenge 2019 (IWSC). The awards received by Dewar's White Label, Dewar’s 15, Dewar’s 18 and Dewar’s 25, among others, highlight the brand's quality commitment throughout its portfolio and reaffirm its position as the world's most awarded “blended” Scotch whisky.

For the past 50 years, the International Wine & Spirits Challenge has recognized and rewarded the best whiskys in the world, establishing the international benchmark for quality in this industry. To select the winners, the IWSC executes a structured and rigorous two-stage evaluation process, first using the "double blind" evaluation method, in which samples are tested in numbered cups so judges never see a bottle.

While San Francisco World Spirits Competition is one of the most prestigious competitions of its kind. Over four days of highly controlled blind tastings, panels of experienced judges test each product. Judges do not receive any information about the producer or the price, to acquire a fairly & equitably evaluation without prejudice. Those that receive a gold medal from all the judges in a panel, received a double gold award, as Dewar's 18 and Dewar's 25 got this year.
