Mango Mojito – the fruit based mojito you never knew existed

Have a ripe mango laying around? This often happens to us because of the availability of mangoes on an island like ours. That’s why we thought why not make a mango mojito? It is a simple recipe because it is based on the traditional mojito recipe with a small twist. It’s the perfect combination of rum, mint and the sweetness of the mango.

Ingredients

  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 can (9.6 oz.) GOYA® Mango Nectar / 2 mangoes cut in cubes
  • 1 tbsp. GOYA® Lime Juice
  • 1 tbsp. Perrier carbonated mineral water or 8 oz when using fresh mangoes
  • 3 oz. Bacardi white superior rum

In a cocktail shaker, or a tall glass, add mint leaves and sugar. Using a wooden pestle, muddle mint with sugar. Add nectar or mango pieces, lime juice, Perrier and rum. Shake until combined. Evenly divide mango mojito into two tall glasses with ice. Serve immediately.
