Instead of sticking to the mixers, switch it up by using freshly squeezed juice as an ingredient for your cocktail. Your drinks will taste better immediately and you will get your vitamins. A cocktail that is actually good for you, isn’t that what we all want?
Follow the measurements:
Believe it or not, nobody is impressed by your free-pouring “skills”. Making a cocktail is just like baking; make one mistake and the whole thing falls apart. So make sure you measure each ingredient to ensure a well balanced drink with no ingredient overwhelming the other.
Buy Premium Spirits:
We’ve all been there, standing in the liquor isle, staring in aw at the high prices. You are tempted to take the cheaper options, but unfortunately by saving a few bucks you might end up with low quality product and thus a cheap tasting cocktail. So try to switch brands but stick to the well-known names.
For example, try Grey Goose Vodka, Dewars White Label or Bacardi.
Good Ice:
Yup, Ice is also an important part of a good drink. Nothing ruins a great drink quicker that watery ice. Bars are investing a lot of money to keep their drinks cold. But a more economic alternative are ice trays that makes jumbo cubes that won’t melt as fast. Don’t go overboard with the ice cubes, though. People tend to think they get less of the drink, when there is too much ice.
Practice makes perfect:
The truth is, the master mixologists were once amateur bartenders just like all of us. They are where they are because they never stopped experimenting with new recipes and ingredients. So remember to keep practicing and come up with your own signature drinks.
Drink Responsibly:
We are pretty sure that everyone sticks to this one. But you can’t say it enough, right? Remember, responsible fun is also fun. So if you are drinking, know your limit and always have a designated driver.
Cheers to that!!
