So you had a big celebration, it was a great success. But it has been a week and you still have leftover Champagne and nothing to celebrate. Well you are in luck, because there is a new trend of using champagne as an ingredient for mixed drinks.

Oh yes, wine snubs will be looking down at new trend for months to come. But the sparkling wine adds elegance, depth and a fizzy kick to a cocktail, so top off your next glass of punch with some champers. Or you can use any recipe that calls for soda water and substitute it with champagne. Here are some recipes that can get you started on this new trend. Try them and you’ll never look at champagne the same way again.

 

Champagranate
Looking for a refreshing cocktail to enjoy during the day? Then you should try the Champagranate. It is a cocktail made with Champagne and Pomegranate juice. Pomegranates have seen a jump in popularity in the last few years, so you will score some points with your guests for this creative choice of ingredient. It will quench your thirst and keep you cool. Aside from being sweet and tangy, it is an immunity booster. So go ahead, be healthy while drinking. Or at least, that’s what you can tell people when they ask why you’re drinking so early in the day.

Preparation:
Mix all three ingredients over ice. Slowly stir in Champagne. Strain into a champagne flute.
